99.9% of my rides are usually productive or relaxing. Nothing feels better than the rush of endorphin’s after a great training ride. However, I’ve had some absolutely terrible rides when I feel sluggish, can’t get my legs turning over and I can’t seem to get my heart rate over 140 bpm. After doing the Gran Fondo on Sunday, I went out for a friendly spin with a couple of buddies after work. It was suppose to be a “recovery” ride but I was having problems hanging on for dear life! Most of the guys had fresh legs while I felt like I was dragging around a baby elephant! Sometimes you’re the hammer but once in a while you’re the poor nail.
