2014 Pinarello Dogma 65.1 and Dogma K Hydro to Have Disc Brake Versions; Full Suspension is Back
The guys over at www.bikerumor.com were able to obtain a first look at the 2014 Pinarello Dogma 65.1 Hydro, first seen in May of this year.
“There will actually be two disc equipped Dogmas – the Dogma 65.1 and the Dogma K Hydro. Each bike will include Pinarello’s Think2 mechanical or electronic cable system, a system that now extends to every one of their road bikes except the Razha. Both road disc Dogmas are built with 135mm rear spacing and have hydraulic specific internal routing – we assume that should still allow for mechanics, as long as you use full housing”
Bikerumor also reports that the two frames are made from the same carbon, but have a different BB. The 65.1 Hydro with an Italian threaded BB, and the K Hydro using a PF30.
Non-Hydraulic, standard Dogma K and 65.1 will keep the Italian threaded BB.
“Perhaps the biggest news is Pinarello getting back into full suspension mountain bikes. The Pinarello FV5 was short lived, with Pinarello only offering hardtails for 2013. The full suspensino Dogma XM looks to continue the crazy asymmetry of the Dogma XC with an interesting take on a linkage driven single pivot suspension design. Travel is set at 90mm with a Fox Factory 32 fork.”
Besides these nice updates to the 65.1 and Dogma K, Pinarello has also released some special edition frames that look incredible. It will be very exciting to see what else Pinarello has in store for us in 2014.
